Maxwell: Set aside sentence

NEW YORK (AP) — Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend and associate Ghislaine Maxwell asked a federal judge this week to set aside her sex trafficking conviction and free her from a 20-year prison sentence, saying “substantial new evidence” emerged proving constitutional violations spoiled her trial.

The filing came days before records in her case were to be released publicly as a result of President Donald Trump’s signing of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

NASCAR mourns loss of Biffle

Greg Biffle was picked by NASCAR as one of its top 75 drivers in history. He was a Hall of Fame nominee for the stock car series and he drove for 18 years at the top of the sport.
Yet for all the races and the handful of memorable wins, he is perhaps best remembered for his selfless and tireless work helping others as a helicopter pilot supplying aid a year ago in the devastation left behind by Hurricane Helene.
