Ordinance limits data centers

Supervisors here passed an ordinance Thursday to limit where data centers can be built in the township. But an attorney for a data center company that already struck contracts with local landowners said it’s illegal, and he will fight it in court.

Around 80 residents crowded into the township meeting room, taking all the seats and standing in the hallway for a public hearing before the board voted on the new ordinance.

Alleged killer, 17, doing well in lockup

A teen murder suspect continues to be treated well by prison staff while remaining isolated from other inmates in Columbia County Prison, his defense lawyer told a judge Wednesday.

Attorney Hank Clarke said the family of Adam Bartosic, 17, had no complaints about the boy’s welfare after nearly three months of incarceration. No alternative hospital or secure juvenile facility is yet willing to accept him.
